On Friday afternoon, 2017 Pole Vault Elite Club Registration will open. You will be able to register by going to http://www.polevaultelite.com and click on Club then Club Registration.
The process will be multi step, so please read the process on the website carefully. Athletes under 18 will need to have a parent register for them, in order to sign the waivers and membership agreements online. Once you have your membership purchased you’ll need to sign up for one of the “New Membership Orientations”. This needs to be scheduled before your first practice. You will need to purchase practice pack in order to schedule practices. Members will have access to the “Member Practices” that you will need to reserve your spot for on a first come first serve basis by going to the calendar, clicking on the Members Practice you would like to reserve, and then clicking Reserve. You’ll want to make sure that you have the correct individual (the athlete not the guardian) selected from the dropdown list on that page.
Keep checking on Friday for when we open registration. I will also tweet when I open it, so follow @polevaultelite on twitter.

2016 – Out Vault The Summer Results
What a great meet. We had 5 kids PR, 4 of them with double PR’s. Grace Mcintyre, Brandon McQuinn, Kayla Hill, and Isaiah Kunzer all four tied their PR’s and jumped at a new mark, but fell just short. Aly Ray bested her old PR by 6 inches clearing 7’3″ and 7’6″, both new PR’s. Ayris double PR’d raising her old best 9″ to 8’3″. Sam Meyers got a new best today clearing 8’9″. A pair of Juniors decided to double PR at the same heights both, Jessica Bray and Kendall Viele cleared 9’3″ and 9’6″ raising their pr’s from 9’0″ to 9’6″.
Full Results and pictures available here.
Pike High School athlete and Pole Vault Elite club member Sandra Brown is the 2016 state champion in the pole vault. Sandra entered the meet at 11’9″ with a first attempt clearance, placing her in a tie for first place. She passed 12’0″ and cleared 12’3″ on her second. This miss put her in second place with her having to check out for the 4×100 relay. When she came back, she was up at 12’9″, with 3 attempts left. She had three jumps to determine if she would finish second, or as state champion. It only took one jump, a first attempt clearance earned her the 2016 title. As she step off the pit, she let out a big breath, one I can only describe as relief that all the hard work had paid off. She raised the bar to 13’4″ but was unable to navigate the height. Sandra will be competing next week at the Midwest meet of Champions and at New Balance Outdoor Nationals in 2 weeks.
