From Pole Vault Elite

Other than the 11am girls time, all times below are guesses based on experience.
*We could be way off depending on how the host runs the meet.

No one should leave until you have check to see if you need to carry a pole bag to Collin’s truck.

Please be conscious of time it takes to orient yourself and find parking, find the proper door to enter, use the restroom, etc. We define “arrive” as you are done with those items and available to the coaches for what ever they need from you (carrying poles, setting up, warming up, getting runway marks down, etc..)

  • 9:30am – [Girls] Arrive and be ready to help carry in poles
  • 10:00am – [Girls] Runway opens (this is a guess)
  • 11:00am – [Girls] Competition starts (12 girls entered)
  • 12:00pm – [Boys] Arrive
  • 12:59pm – Girls competition ends (estimated)
  • 1:00pm – Boys warmup begins (estimated)
  • 2:00pm – [Boys] Competition begins (estimated)
  • 4:45pm – [Boys] Competition ends (estimated)

2023 Full Meet Schedule

Opening Heights:
Pole Vault opening heights are 2.30m (~7’6″) for women and 3.33m (~10’11”) for men.

Facility Location
The Purdue Fort Wayne Indoor Track & Field Facility is located in the Athletic Fieldhouse on the north end of campus.

Facility Information
200m Mondo SX Track with 6-42” lanes on the oval and 8 lanes for the sprints/hurdles. Throwing ring is plywood. Spikes shall be 1⁄4 or less pyramid. Spikes are not to be worn outside of the fieldhouse. Signs will be posted to remind athletes.

Tickets
Purchased day of at the box office located inside the facility.
Adults: $10.00 | Youth (under 12): 5.00 | College students w/ID: $5.00 | PFW Students: Free

Spectators
Spectators must remain in designated areas. Absolutely no spectators allowed in the infield, only coaches and athletes. Spectators that enter the competition areas (track and infield) may be asked to leave.

Born from a passion of pole vault and always pursuing greatness, Pole Vault Elite was founded in 2007 by Collin Gayde with the help of Joe Herron as Indy’s premier pole vault club.
