From Pole Vault Elite
We expect every member to complete ALL the To-Do’s.
Poles: Pole Vault Elite coaches will transport poles to this meet (part of your PVE Fees). We expect all athletes to confirm they do not need to unload or load poles on vehicles before leaving.
Coaches do not plan to carry pole bags into or out of the facility. Coaches should not have to ask any athletes for help, athletes should be asking the coaches. EVERY athlete should plan to be available to help with one direction (in or out) and some athletes may need to do both.. There are 2 pole bags. If coaches are stuck moving bags, athletes will need to bring their own poles (you can rent them and bring those).
Apparel: All athletes should wear the official team uniform and solid black bottoms.
Arrival Times: We recommend being ready to warmup a minimum of 1 hour before your start time. Weather permitting Coaches plan to arrive closer to 7:15am. First group should arrive at a similar time.

📍 EVENT LOCATION / RUNWAY & PIT
New location for 2026:
The runway and vaulting pit will be located in the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand area on the south side of the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
Entering the Fairgrounds
- Enter through Gate 2 (formerly Gate 16) off 42nd Street.
- Participants should park in the Infield Parking Area for the easiest access to the event.
- Parking is prohibited at the vaulting site.
This is a new location from previous years, so please review the State Fair map (see bottom this page) before arriving. The event will be located in the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand area.
⏰ SCHEDULE
We will do our best to stay on schedule, so please arrive early and be ready for your group’s scheduled vaulting time.
If we have an opportunity to start a group early, we will do so. We will also encourage athletes in the next group to begin warming up before their scheduled start time.
Saturday, August 15
- Runway opens: 8:00 AM
- Vaulting begins: 9:00 AM
- Three groups: Please see the attached PDF for group assignments and estimated start times.
Please remember that all start times are approximate. Arrive early so you have plenty of time to park, check in, warm up, and be ready to compete.
TENTS
If you bring a tent, 40-pound weights are required on each leg of the tent.
WAIVER
All competitors must sign a waiver when checking in.
- Athletes under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver.
